NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY

SAFETY

FOTOPIA'S FIRST PRIORITY

"Newborn Photo without a serious commitment to safety

It doesn't hold. "

ニューボーンフォトの撮影風景

The most important thing in Newborn photography is to keep your baby safe. In my shooting, the baby's "sleeping comfortably" is of utmost importance. I think it is important for me not only to understand the physical characteristics and risks of the newborn baby, but also to create an environment where the baby can fall asleep with peace of mind.

Taking overseas lectures on the safety aspects of Newborn Photo, we will spare no effort to obtain the latest information on the situation of Newborn Photo in the world.

It has been seven years since we started Newborn Photo in earnest.

We would like to introduce our efforts for safe and secure Newborn Photo based on our track record of taking newborn photos of more than 600 newborn babies and our experience as a mother who is the mother of one child.

About Newborn Photo Posing

At first glance, Newborn Photo poses may seem easy, but they require sufficient experience, knowledge, and skill. I think that mothers can leave their babies with peace of mind because they have a good grasp of pose patterns and safety and have a lot of experience.

Like a sleeping pose with a cheek stick, an adult supports the baby's neck and body at the time of actual shooting, processing and synthesizing to erase the adult's hand, as if the baby is wearing a cheek stick alone There are also pictures that look like this. It is very dangerous to easily imitate a newborn baby whose neck is not yet settled without knowledge.

In addition, each baby has his or her own likes and dislikes, and it is forbidden to force the poses that he dislikes. As I said at the beginning, it is a major premise that the baby is sleeping comfortably during shooting.

It is possible that the newborn's Moro reflex may cause the body to warp during shooting, so never take your eyes off the baby and ask an adult to stay close to the baby during shooting.

About temperature control during shooting

Newborns are still immature in thermoregulation and are susceptible to outside temperatures, with their body temperature rising and falling rapidly. When taking a newborn photo, you should be especially careful to set the temperature to your baby's comfort, as you will be shooting naked.

I try to be careful about the temperature setting in the room while carefully observing the complexion and complexion of the baby's limbs and whether he is sweating.

About hygiene management

Every time you take a picture, wash all the swaddles, blankets, hats, etc. that you bring to keep them clean. We use only washable rugs, not just those that touch the baby's skin. The washing detergent is additive-free (no coloring, no bleach, no phosphorus, no fluorescence) that can be used from 0 months after birth. Except for rainy days, it is dried under a sun that has a sterilizing effect.

Many of the accessories used for photopia photography are handmade. When making a production request, we always make sure that it is produced in an environment where there are no pets and no smokers.

Understand the cues your baby is sending

There are various reasons for a newborn baby to cry, and I wonder if any mom has the experience of having trouble while raising a baby because she doesn't know the reason for crying. !).

However, mysteriously, as I gained experience in newborn photography, most babies do not keep crying and fall asleep.

As much as I hone my newborn photography skills, I try to understand the cues that my baby gives.

Many of the baby's crying scenes are when they are "hungry." In that case, ask your mother to help you breastfeed. If you are crying for any other reason, for example, it may be too hot or too cold, your umbilical cord hits, your stomach is full of gas, you want to belch, you are peeing or pooping, etc. It is necessary to consider the possibility and respond.

Newborns have a reflex that is primitively equipped with a reflex that points the mouth to the nipple when hungry (lip chasing reflex) and a movement Moro reflex (grasping reflex) that tries to grab something when anxious. With these cues as hints, we use the techniques we have learned by facing newborn babies on a daily basis.

Protect your baby and mom

It goes without saying that the highest priority is to concentrate on recovery after childbirth without moving the body as much as possible until the floor is raised after childbirth. After giving birth, I myself must avoid shooting styles that impose a physical burden on my mother. Therefore, I am particular about the business trip shooting style of visiting my home or parents' home so that I can look at moms and newborn babies after childbirth with peace of mind.

In addition, I and my assistants who come to shoot should never be the source of illness. Since I am in contact with newborn babies on a daily basis, I thoroughly manage and renew various vaccinations, wear masks, wash my hands, avoid crowded places, and manage my physical condition. If there is a risk of getting an infectious disease, please contact the customer immediately and acknowledge at the time of application that we will take measures such as postponing the schedule.
